Care instructions
Care Instructions for a Soy Candle:
1. First Use:
• Allow the wax to melt completely to the edges of the container the first time you light the candle. This will prevent tunneling and ensure an even burn in the future.
2. Trimming the Wick:
• Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) before each use. This helps prevent soot buildup and ensures a cleaner, more efficient burn.
• Use a wick trimmer to avoid dropping wick debris into the container.
3. Avoid Overheating:
• Do not burn the candle for more than 2-3 hours at a time. This prevents the heat from affecting the wax and the container.
• Never leave a candle burning unattended. Always extinguish it before leaving the room.
4. Handling the Container:
• Do not move the candle when it is burning or while the wax is still liquid. This could cause spills.
• Place the candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials.
5. Storage When Not in Use:
• Store the candle in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent the wax from melting or deforming.
6. Extinguishing the Candle:
• To safely extinguish the candle, use a wick dipper.
7. Recycling the Container:
• Once the candle is used up (when about 1/4 inch of wax remains), you can recycle or reuse the container. Clean it with hot water and soap, and remove any leftover wax.
By following these care instructions, you can extend the life of your soy candle and enjoy a cleaner, more efficient burn.
Home decor items
Our home decor items are made from eco-friendly ceramic (a water-based, sustainable material) and are all poured, sanded, and sealed by hand in our studio.
Care Instructions:
• Clean with a non-abrasive damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
• Prolonged exposure to water may cause watermarks.
• Do not place in the microwave or dishwasher.
• Avoid dropping, as it may break.
Eco-friendly ceramic is heat- and fire-resistant, but if you use your tray to burn decorative candles, expect some white discoloration or marks on the surface.
Decorative Candles
Our decorative candles are designed for decorative purposes. However, if you choose to light them, the burn time may vary due to their irregular shapes and sizes.
Lighting Instructions:
• Remove the label and any decoration from the candle before lighting it.
• If you wish to maximize burn time, always trim the wick to 1/4’’.
• Keep the candle free from any foreign materials, including matches and wick trimmings.
• When not in use, keep your candle away from direct sunlight and nearby heat sources.
• Always burn the candle on a level, heat-resistant surface that will catch any wax, as spillage is to be expected.
• Do not burn the decorative candle for more than 2 consecutive hours.
• To avoid potential heat damage to the candlestick or tray you’re using, always stop using the candle when only 1/4’’ of wax remains.
